Work Retraining Services
An
individual’s ability to work may change based on an
injury, an occupational disease, a progressive medical
or psychological condition, an accident, time out of the
work force, or outdated skills. To determine new career
options, vocational counseling is performed by IRC to
gather relevant data and to engage the individual in
mutual efforts to identify a new career. This service is
tailor-made to the individual’s needs. Selected testing
may be performed, labor market and school/training
research will occur, and other specific information will
be gathered as it pertains to the new career
requirements. In disability cases the career goal will
be presented to a medical professional for approval.
Success in these services occurs when the individual is
involved and invested in this process.
